Dr Brooke Smars
Dr. Brooke Smars grew up outside Rochester, Minnesota. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology and Norwegian from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, despite being born to a Swedish immigrant.
She went on to graduate from Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska, and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at UCLA. In 2013, she returned to her home state of Minnesota after convincing her husband that “there is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing.”
Since returning to Minnesota, Dr. Smars has practiced throughout the Twin Cities metro area and is proud to continue West Lake Dental Center’s more than 100-year tradition of providing exceptional dental care to the community.
She is an active member of the American Dental Association, Minnesota Dental Association, and Minneapolis District Dental Society. She is committed to advancing her knowledge and patient care through dental study clubs and continuing education seminars.
Dr. Smars strongly believes in providing high-quality, comprehensive dentistry in a friendly and comfortable environment while promoting both oral and overall health.
She and her husband live in Minneapolis with their daughters, Ronja and Ravelle, and their dog, Jovi. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, running and biking around the Minneapolis Chain of Lakes, reading, traveling, snowboarding, and enjoying the outdoors regardless of the weather.
